I’m Melissa Woodbury, lifetime resident of Southern Nevada, retired elementary school teacher, and former State Assemblywoman for the Henderson area. I’m running to be your next City Councilwoman so that together, we can find lasting, meaningful solutions to the issues our community is facing. I was raised in Boulder City and have called Henderson home for nearly three decades. I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and earned a Master’s degree in Education from Southern Utah University. I recently retired from the Clark County School District after 27 years. Education, and how it works in parallel with almost every aspect of our lives, has, and continues to be my passion.
